A short-term bereavement support
"Grief can shake everything up – your beliefs, your personality and even your sense of reality" […] manifestations of grief are individual: there are no wrong or right ways.

Similar to the concept of walking through an issue, there are two introductory sessions in a consulting room (or online) to explore the episode of loss.
We then take to the park for five and up to nine weekly sessions in consecutive weeks and at a set time.
If the weather is not favourable, there is always the possibility to return to the consulting room.
As in any talking therapy setting, the client sets the pace of the work. In walking through grief, the client is the one setting the pace of the walk.
The park's different areas could help unlock different feelings, and ever-changing background could be a welcomed factor of change.
Walking Through an Issue
Short-term focus oriented therapy
ā
This model proposes to start with up to two assessment sessions in a consulting room (or online).
After that, the client and therapist will agree on the focus of the upcoming sessions.
The remaining sessions will take place walking through the park. For this model, It is suggested to do a further six to ten weekly sessions, all taking place in consecutive weeks and at the same time. Working with a focus doesn’t mean that other issues are not considered: their relevance may be seen through the lens of the agreed focussed issue. As in any talking therapy setting, the client sets the pace of the work. While we attempt to talk through the issue, the client will set the pace of the walk.
Finding ourselves ‘out there’ might help to find purpose and a deeper understanding of the challenging issue.
